manages all supply chain activities to achieve on-time delivery while continually reducing cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains and reviews forecasts for all new projects. Manages supplier base to ensure Arthrex standards are met. Works with all Arthrex divisions to optimize use of the supplier base. Manages critical meetings with suppliers on key strategic projects and issues. Manages all costing for each product team. Responsible for developing, approving and enforcing all applicable policies and procedures. Analyzes outside suppliers to determine which products are best suited in-house. Manages critical Engineering change requests and determines disposition of inventory. Manages inventory levels, planning parameters and excess inventory for each product team. Works with Engineering and Product Management to establish new project priorities by product team. This position may have functional supervisory responsibility for 1 or more Buyer/Planners, and Program Planner/Schedulers.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred 10 years business experience in Purchasing and or Manufacturing required Direct MRP experience required Project Management experience required Supervisory experience required Industry Certification preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Detailed knowledge of materials management, regulations, procedures, and records. Able to analyze cost to determine and implement opportunities for reduction. Extensive project management skills in coordinating the efforts of subcontract vendors

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: PC spreadsheets, computer software.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
