What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Triage, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems with DDN’s storage systems in customer production environments
  2. Take ownership of customer cases, validate technical aspects, and drive them to resolution with root cause and necessary modifications to the product
  3. Provide engineering support to Professional Services, Technical Support, and directly to customers
  4. Collaborate with peers located around the globe to address customer needs and improve product quality
  5. Provide on-call assistance as needed during critical customer issues

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. More than 2 years of hands-on experience in software development and product support
  2. Strong understanding of operating system architecture and principles, especially Linux device drivers
  3. Excellent analytical and methodical problem-solving skills with complex hardware/software interactions
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  5. A Bachelor's engineering degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  1. Experience in working directly with customers and managing complex technical issues
  2. Demonstrated experience handling technical issues with customer installations
  3. Proficiency in software development with strong C programming skills
  4. Knowledge of storage products, cloud storage, and data center operations
  5. Familiarity with large-scale file systems like GPFS, Lustre, or other parallel file systems
