Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering in Wilsonville, OR. Position is hybrid; requires working onsite in Wilsonville, OR three days per week and allows working from home two days per week. One or more international trips per year to support customer meetings and flight tests in Canada and support any work in India.
What YOU will do:
- Execute objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.
- Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
- Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization’s systems products and services.
- Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform architectural exploration.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer, Avionics Certification Engineer, Flight Test Engineer or related role. Alternatively, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Avionics Certification Engineer, Flight Test Engineer or related role.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with integrated avionics, ARP4754A.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with Flight Test or Avionics Certification.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience with SAFE AGILE- scrum master or PO experience.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with Project Management or Project Engineering.

The salary range is $138,029.00 to $149,500.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
