Overview:
Coastal Waste & Recycling is a solid waste and recycling, hauling and disposal company. We are experiencing explosive growth and with growth comes opportunity. We are currently adding a driver helper. CDL is not necessary, but this is a good opportunity for a new CDL holder to gain experience on a truck and learn the routes.
Responsibilities:
The Driver Helper's main responsibility is to collect (primarily by hand) and load refuse from customer locations into the garbage truck. You will also be responsible for assisting the driver while maneuvering the trucks into positions for collection and disposal. Helper's spend the majority of the day in the cab of the truck, on the back of the truck, or moving around the truck for trash collection. You must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the work day. You must also be able to consistently lift, push, and pull bags and receptacles that weigh 50-75+ pounds.
