Description: Configuration Manager with Manufacturing Background

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Reports to: Business Unit Director

Salary Range : $95,000 - $130,000 Annually

Job Purpose : Planning, scheduling and communicating status of the operations and activities required to achieve delivery dates. Release engineering planning and manufacturing document packages to production per Swift Engineering procedural requirements. Release and maintain document configuration per Swift Engineering's operating procedures.

Essential Job Function:

• Work within an MRP environment to release planning packages to production
• Review orders, route incomplete routers as required for closure
• Coordinate manufacturing activities across work centers
• Provide status to customer and sales representatives on work in progress
• Maintain backlog report on a weekly basis
• Review purchase requisitions to verify purchase requisitions and work with Purchasing on timing and status of procurement activities
• Maintain configuration control for company and client engineering documents, digital data, drawings, engineering change orders, and other controlled documents and data consistent with the requirements of AS9100 and all other customer quality requirements
• Examine documents, such as drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data prior to placing it in the Document Control system
• Navigate customer portals to access customer data
• Confer with document originators to resolve discrepancies
• Assist Planning, Production, Engineering and Quality groups with distribution of documentation to work centers as required
• Support creation and update of Swift Operating Procedures

Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 Years in aerospace and/or aviation industry (preferred)
• 4-year business degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Estimation and proposal writing experience
• Document control experience
• MRP experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Engineering Document Control experience with aerospace industry requirements
• Familiar with ISO 9001, AS9102, Nadcap and aerospace documentation preferred
