Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with at least five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our company and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Process payroll and maintain payroll records as needed Prepare tax filings and coordinate with external tax professionals Assist in financial forecasting, cost analysis, and risk management. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms) Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication and problem-solving skills
