Rogers Group is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Ready Mix Truck Driver in the Crossville, TN area to support our ETN Team. CDL is required. The successful candidate for this role must have an uncompromising focus on safety and excellence.
Primary responsibility is to drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge loads. A Ready-Mix Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ready-mix truck used for delivery of products connected to the Company's ready-mix concrete operation.
Job Responsibilities: - Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads
- Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust to desired level
- Distinguish between a proper mix
- Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the current customer and job site
- Strive to meet customer expectations without exception
- Complete pre and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies
- Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management
- Cooperate and promote a team concept
- Adhere to all RFI, D.O.T., and O.S.H.A. regulations at all times
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications: - Ability to operate a manual/ automatic transmission truck without license restrictions for either transmission
- Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check
- Thorough operational knowledge and skill of mixer truck and related equipment to be operated
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety or working conditions
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as being able to work independently with attention to detail
- Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, frequent lifting of extensions chutes, stretching, sitting/driving and shifting gears
- Must maintain current driver's license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A or B Driver
- MVR must meet company standards and applicant should have a good driving record
