Lead Software Engineer

Location: OKC - Onsite (Must have an active Secret Clearance)

Compensation: $100,000-150,000 per year (depending on experience) + excellent benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to lead a team of 5-8 developers in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using C#. This role provides the opportunity to work in a smaller, flexible team environment with significant growth potential and excellent benefits, including every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications using C#.
2. Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define project requirements.
4. Ensure software quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing (unit, integration, regression).
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while contributing to technical documentation.
6. Drive the development of scalable, high-performance solutions.

Critical Skills & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer, leading teams of 5-10 developers.
2. Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development.
3. Expertise in software testing (unit, component, integration, regression).
4. Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
5. Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL).
6. Strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Skills:

1. Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
2. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including Systems Engineers and Software Architects.
4. Understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.
