Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and directing local market strategy, fiscal strategy, and supporting the local President within major markets. Key responsibilities include serving as coordinator/convener of the local market leadership team, driving business integration, and overseeing employee engagement and community impact. Job expectations include acting as a proxy for the local President in representing the bank both internally and externally in the assigned market.

The Silicon Valley Market Executive leads and directs the local market strategy, fiscal strategy, and supports the President of the Silicon Valley market. Responsible for partnering with the local market team to drive business integration, employee engagement and community impact. Acts as proxy for the President of the Silicon Valley market in representing the company in the local community and internal functions and events. Partners with the President of the Silicon Valley market in the leadership and execution of the three priorities:

  • Deliver for our clients: We connect our business by providing strong enterprise leadership to deliver business integration and drive responsible growth. We connect our company’s capabilities across all lines of business in the market for the benefit of clients, companies and institutions - driving market share growth.
  • Deliver for our employees: We support our teammates by creating an inclusive and supportive workplace for our employees. We promote and activate employee engagement, retention and development within the market; build local market culture by connecting employees to the market’s priorities and supporting activities. Drive ESAT, D&I and talent management efforts locally.
  • Deliver for our communities: We tell our story by representing and building our brand locally through leading ESG efforts and using company assets including grants, sponsorships, volunteerism and board participation to champion the company’s strategy. We engage with key influencers including public policy officials, community leaders and local media to tell our story and connect the bank’s responsible growth mission to the interests of key constituents and the broader community.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the local President to provide strategic and cohesive guidance across all Lines of Business to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Drives business integration, leads the bank's community strategy, and oversees and promotes engagement from employees representing the bank.
  • Provides strategy and direction on how the bank delivers local and enterprise assets to serve customers and clients across the market.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to help deliver the bank's message externally.

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
  • Deep knowledge of the bank’s local market delivery strategy and the role of the Local Market Organization in the enterprise narrative
  • Experience leading through change and influencing without direct authority
  • Ability to identify opportunities for business growth, develop strategic initiatives and drive to achieve desired results
  • Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, strong prioritization and time management skills, self-directed, results-oriented

US - CA - San Jose - 560 S WINCHESTER BLVD (CA3512) Pay and benefits information Pay range $185,000.00 - $255,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
