Overview

Support Air National Guard (ANG) Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Test Center (AATC) to conduct research, test, and assess aging weapon systems and equipment to improve combat capabilities through Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) engineering and analysis of modernized and advanced ANG, AFRC, and United States Air Force (USAF) aerospace weapons systems. The primary technical areas of analysis shall include operational suitability, Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E); OT&E project management (maintenance equipment); systems engineering for Air Reserve Component (ARC) modernization and sustainment; munitions maintenance, logistics, and security analysis; and systems interoperability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Defense Systems, Cyber Security and Information Systems, or Homeland Security and Defense research and perform Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Relevance Assessment and Gap Analysis on an annual basis.
• Support the development of System Engineering Reports to assist the Authorization to Operate (ATO), which is the system program office cyber resiliency authorization for integration into the Air Force inventory.
• Provide technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems.
• Design, develop, and implement security requirements within an organization’s business processes.
• Prepare documentation from information obtained from customers using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process).
• Prepare Security Test and Evaluation plans.
• Provide certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans and conduct complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provide recommendations for closing gaps.
• Develop and complete system security plans and contingency plans.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve security deficiencies.
• Develop, test, and integrate computer and network security tools.
• Secure system configurations, install security tools, scan systems for compliance, report results, and evaluate products and various aspects of system administration.
• Conduct security program audits and develop solutions to lessen identified risks.
• Develop strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.
• Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
• Evaluate, develop, and enhance security requirements, policies, and tools.
• Aid in computer incident investigations.
• Perform vulnerability assessments including the development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of related work experience.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and eight to ten years of related experience performing a wide variety of information assurance and information systems security engineering duties, including the certification and accreditation of information systems using DIACAP (formerly DITSCAP), NIACAP, NIST SP 800-37, and/or DCID 6/3 frameworks.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $136,000.00/Yr. - USD $227,100.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
