Position Specific Description
Our team provides cloud and on-premise compute platform services to internal IT customers. We are continually enhancing and expanding those services to meet our organization’s needs. We treat these services as products with a focus on providing value to our internal IT customers. The Associate IT Programmer Analyst is a first level professional with a desire to engineer and develop cloud automation and self-service capabilities. This role will be part of the Enterprise Compute team that is modernizing our enterprise compute platform. The Associate Programmer Analyst works closely with senior team members in order to implement predefined processes and assist with the creation of new solutions.
Job Overview
This position assesses, designs, and integrates technology to develop cloud infrastructure processes and automation. Employee works on development initiatives for application teams usage and configuring and customizing vendor-provided packaged software. This position works to ensure the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of developed systems.

- Intermediate cloud security knowledge of Identity and Access Management and Active Directory
- Intermediate AWS cloud tools and services knowledge such as Cloud Formation, compute (EC2, lambda) storage (RDS, S3), configuration and monitoring (Config, SSM, Cloudwatch) and others
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. application and IT teams stakeholders, product owners, and project managers) to understand functional and non-functional requirements
- Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems
- Participate in scope of work estimation, forecasting and solutions business value
- Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate
- Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery
- Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and knowledge base articles
