We are hiring an Associate IT Support Specialist to act as the first point of contact for all IT helpdesk needs within the Santa Barbara office. The Associate IT Specialist will ensure a seamless technology experience for AppFolio employees, providing the technology tools and services necessary to accomplish their daily work. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is a fast learner with excellent customer service skills.

This in-person position will require being in the Santa Barbara office daily.

Your impact

1. Address tickets in queues quickly and efficiently
2. Suggest improvements to processes, individual productivity, and costs.
3. Maintain inventory of company assets and equipment
4. Set up new employees and coordinate employee moves onto existing and expanding networks
5. Troubleshoot and maintain all hardware associated with end-user computing, including printers, workstations, and phones
6. Create and maintain internal and external technical documentation
7. Inspect and maintain conference rooms

Must have

1. Experience troubleshooting basic computer issues
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
3. Excellent and creative problem-solving skills. You don’t need to know everything, but you need to know how to find the solution.
4. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
5. Collaborative and willing to teach, learn, and be a generalist
6. Ability to travel to other AppFolio hub locations as needed, lift 25 lbs, and work in person 5 days a week

Nice to have

1. 1 - 2 years of background in technical documentation and ticketing systems
2. Experience working with audio-visual equipment.

The hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $22.00-$28.00. The actual hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type. Regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits.
