Position Summary

In this role, you are responsible for protecting the assets of Rosecrance Health Network and all affiliates through the sound application of generally accepted accounting principles and excellent business acumen. Provide for overall fiscal leadership of all Rosecrance entities. Through strong fiscal policy and creativity, lead the organizations growth for long term sustainability. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations with respect to governmental reporting, billing, tax return preparation, and grant requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Possess a valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Proven track record of financial leadership, preferably in multi-site environment
  • Experience in the Behavioral Health industry or Not-for-Profit sector preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and proven experience in accounting principles and controls, financial analysis, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to make long-range plans, forecasts, evaluations, and goals
  • Competence in using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software and common computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operations Team, contribute to strategic planning, and participate in Finance Committee meetings.
  • Regularly present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Enhance the organization’s understanding of financial principles.
  • Comprehend, guide, and offer timely support for managing complex revenue streams, including private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, and various grants from multiple sources.
  • Maintain integrity of all financial systems and successfully execute all key functions assigned.
  • Ensure that there are adequate internal controls for the safeguarding of all Rosecrance assets.
  • Provide long-range plans, forecasts, evaluations, and goals.
  • Oversee Rosecrance and affiliates annual Audit process and ensure the financials are presented fairly and accurately without findings.
  • Effectively coordinate and complete complex projects within established timelines.
  • Oversee general accounting functions for Rosecrance and all affiliates, ensuring proper recording, approval of disbursements, timely month-end closings, and accurate monthly financial reports.
  • Provide correct information to outside agencies and maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all bond covenants including required reporting.
  • Coordinate the purchasing function through a structured system for requisitioning and acquiring goods and services, ensuring proper receipt of items and timely invoice processing. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and leverage purchasing power.
  • Oversee Rosecrance Foundation Endowment Fund including receipt process, coordination with Fund Manager in accordance with Investment Fund Policy and timely accurate reporting of investments.
  • Maintain corporate records of all real estate records and files and ensure payments, if any of all real estate taxes.
  • Maintain all fixed asset records, ensuring appropriate and timely depreciation.
  • Manage cash and cash reporting to ensure Rosecrance is maximizing its investments.
  • Oversee the annual budget process and ensure timely Board approval.
  • Give sound business recommendations as needed.
  • Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
  • Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Serve as a role model for other staff, patients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by leadership.
  • Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.

Schedule

  • Hours : Monday - Friday (40 hours per week )
  • Shift : 8:30am - 5:00pm

Work Location: Can be located at our Rosecrance Management Group site in either Rockford or Chicago (near O'Hare region), IL

  • Work Mode : Onsite

Compensation & Rewards

  • Base Pay (pay is based on location and experience )
    • Rockford based starting pay: $175,000/year
    • Chicago based starting pay: $211,000/year
