Position Summary:

This role is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities include providing oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, aligning technical solutions to business objectives, and ensuring coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

Responsibilities:

1. Designs, develops, and is accountable for feature delivery.
2. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
3. Ensures solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
4. Guides the team on work breakdown and execution.
5. Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.
6. Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team.
7. Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices).

Required Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of experience as a Dev Lead/Application Manager with strong programming experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
2. Design, develop, and take accountability for feature delivery.
3. Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
4. Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
5. Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.
6. Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy and include clear acceptance criteria.
7. Play a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentor the team.
8. Guide team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices).

Desired Qualifications:

1. Team mentorship.
2. Identify skill and role gaps, and work with the Technology Manager to address them.
3. Work with the Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required.
