JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER

KSP Studio is looking for a Project Manager to join our team! Someone with a professional degree in architecture and 8+ years of professional architectural experience.

POSITION: Full-time

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the project and is the day-to-day contact person for the client.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 8 years minimum experience from transferable industry
2. Goal oriented, sense of ownership, willingness to excel
3. Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents and permit set submittal process.
4. Capable of overseeing multiple projects and production team.
5. Ability to understand, coordinate and lead project engineers and consultants.
6. Working knowledge of construction Types I, II, and III.
7. Knowledge of IBC, CBC, and LEED
8. Positive supervision and training of technical staff.
9. Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
10. Responsible for meeting the overall project schedule and construction budget
11. Organize the project team and direct work to KSPS in-house disciplines and outside consultants in an effective manner
12. Establish project work plan, budget and profitability
13. Monitor project scope development and changes, tracking adjustments to the projected project and construction cost
14. Work with project team to create and regularly update overall project schedules and milestones based on feedback from other team members, owner and contractors.
15. Lead and document internal and external meetings
16. Assist the Project Executive with preparation and execution of all contracts and agreements
17. Develop project proposals, execution plans and fees in conjunction with the Project Executive
18. Participate in facilitates multi-discipline/office collaboration within firm
19. Develop new and nurture existing clients
20. Developing and managing project work plans, budgets, & schedules.
21. Preparing a variety of studies and reports, including, but not limited to: Design Studies, Existing Conditions Assessments; Feasibility Studies; Code Analysis; and Historic Structure Reports.
22. Assuming project manager architect role on architecture projects, as prime or sub consultant.
23. Preparing contract documents.
24. Collaboratively managing teams for large projects and working individually on smaller projects simultaneously.
25. Managing client communication.
26. Supervising/mentoring junior staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office programs
2. Positive, out-going, energetic and fun team player who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
3. Superior verbal, written, graphic communication and organization skills
4. Passion for providing exceptional client service
5. Proven ability to function in all phases of the project development from schematic design through project closeout
6. Deep knowledge of technical design and documentations requirements
7. Strong working knowledge of California Building Codes and agency requirements

EDUCATION

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field required
2. Architectural License, State of California
