Job Description
The Firm is seeking an experience Investment Grade Credit Salesperson to join its Institutional Fixed Income Group. The successful applicants can be based in either the Firm’s New York headquarters or other regional offices, including Chicago, Atlanta and Boston.
The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients while driving revenue growth through the sales of investment grade corporate bonds and other fixed income products. The individual will also be working closely with our trading desk, research team and other product specialists to deliver market insights and investment opportunities to institutional investors.
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the fixed income markets, strong relationship management skills and proven track record of revenue generation. The candidate must also have established relationships with institutional corporate bond buyers, especially qualified institutional buyers. Compensations is tied to revenue generation
Responsibilities:
- Lead coverage of institutional accounts including asset managers, insurance companies, and pension funds
- Partner with the trading desk to generate actionable trade ideas and provide market insights to clients across the investment grade credit spectrum
- Monitor market conditions, credit developments, and relative value opportunities to identify and present compelling investment opportunities
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the broader sales culture and strategic initiatives of the firm
Requirements:
- Five plus (5+) years of investment Grade Credit Sales at a major financial institution
- FINRA Registrations: Series 7 and 63 licenses required (within 90 days of hire)
- Experience using Bloomberg and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent understanding and extensive knowledge of Fixed Income markets, credit products and relative value analysis
- Existing client relationships with institutional investors and a demonstrated ability to grow revenue
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas
Compensation:
The total compensation for this position will comprise of a base salary set at the applicable minimum wage salary, based on the individual’s location, and an attractive commission structure based upon revenue generation by salesperson.
