Company Description

As a member of the Enterprise Product Development Team, a Frontend Engineer will participate in working with internal stakeholders and product managers to translate requirements, wireframes, and mock-ups into internal and external facing web and mobile applications. This position plays a critical role in the development of the UI and fostering an accessible user experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work within agile development team sprints with deliverables and demonstration of results
2. Participate in design meetings to create logical, innovative solutions to complex problems
3. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and internal stakeholders on new designs and evolve existing ones
4. Extend existing interaction models, user flows, and UI specifications
5. Iterate based on stakeholder feedback, data, and technical constraints

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. General knowledge of building responsive, mobile-first layouts
2. General knowledge of web application architectures, libraries and tools
3. General knowledge of UX and UI design principles
4. Experience with GraphQL is a plus
5. Intermediate time-management and multi-tasking skills
6. Intermediate written, verbal communication skills, specifically documentation
7. Detail-oriented, quality conscious yet flexible to others' ideas and suggestions
8. Experience with development methodologies; e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban
9. Experience with benefit program administration, and health and welfare processes a plus
10. Experience with Adobe CC a plus
11. Experience with VueJs is a plus

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience in computer science or completion of related boot camp program)
2. 2-4 years of experience as a frontend engineer
