We are looking for a talented Data Engineer with database and software skills to join our DUV EE controls team to support product lifecycle management. This position will be a key contributor in tracking and managing the component obsolescence risk in our DUV lasers.

In the Cymer Light Source (CLS) division in San Diego, we design and manufacture Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) lasers, used directly in the chipmaking process. The lasers we make require: durable and high-speed precise motion-controlled optics to maintain wavelength to femtometer accuracy under high laser powers; advanced materials to endure harsh environments; clever mechanical designs; very fast high power electronics; gas flows at hurricane speeds; cutting edge controllers and algorithms; and advanced real-time electronics, firmware and software.

• Track component obsolescence with Silicon Expert and AVCOM
• Create risk maps of circuit board assemblies based on component obsolescence tracking
• Incorporate Silicon Expert and AVCOM obsolescence data with EOL notices from vendors into a common database
• Create software and database tools as needed to help manage, disseminate, and track obsolescence risks
• Generate monthly reports on component obsolescence to help set priorities for engineering and supply chain teams
• Create reports to track long term component obsolescence trends and overall risk-based roadmaps
• Work with vendors to screen electronic components for counterfeit risk
• Coordinate last time buys and buffer buys on EOL components with supply chain
• Other responsibilities may be added as business conditions arise
