The Opportunity

Using .NET 9 and React 19, you will build and maintain the core technologies and applications that differentiate Steam Logistics -- spanning internal and customer-facing web apps, web APIs, and automation.

As an integral part of our digital strategy and approach to innovation you’ll collaborate across all business verticals, putting your mark on the product with strong data-driven and user-focused recommendations for feature behavior and UX. You will take an active role in clarifying and refining stories with subject matter experts, leveraging wireframes and strong communication to drive both operational efficiency and standout customer experience. We aren’t interested in lone wolves -- collaborating with fellow developers, you’ll arrive at a killer implementation that delivers real impact across Steam’s operation.

Responsibilities

  • Be an ambassador for IT, forming strong cross-functional relationships and building trust across the organization.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders and project team members in an Agile-ish process.
  • Proactive collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts to clarify scope and wireframe, ensuring alignment of behavior and experience.
  • Contribute to application architecture discussions, staying current with emerging technologies and making strategic recommendations to continually improve our tech stack.
  • Write code for both front-end and back-end, arriving at clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested solutions.
  • Engage in code reviews within GitHub, giving and receiving feedback, and asking questions to learn unfamiliar parts of the code base.
  • Work with the InfoSec and compliance teams to ensure applications are secured and in compliance with the organization’s requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to understand and communicate in both business terms and technical terms.
  • Proven collaboration experience with BAs and SMEs to clarify, refine, and plan user stories.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with React 19 (Material UI, DevExtreme, React Query, React Hook Form, Storybook)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Figma or similar wireframing tools.
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with C#.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with ASP.NET Core, EF Core.
  • RESTful API design.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with any SQL.
  • Docker.
  • Automated integration and unit testing.

Gold Star if you have experience with

  • .NET Aspire
  • Azure Functions, Azure CosmosDB.
  • GitHub Actions and other infra-related things for testing, deployment, etc.
  • Power BI / Logic Apps.
