Education:
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited institution OR
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or related discipline (reduces experience requirement by 2 years) OR
- 12 years of IT Engineer experience without a degree
Years of Experience:
- 8+ years of IT engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- 1+ year experience managing and performing integration, operations, and maintenance across multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases
Description
The Citrix Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our Citrix environment, with an emphasis on software deployment, application virtualization, and troubleshooting. This position will work closely with IT professionals to resolve technical issues and contribute to a next-generation collaboration capability integrating the latest commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance complex IT systems to meet organizational needs.
- Perform system analysis projects, reviewing and testing IT systems for adherence to requirements and documenting results.
- Resolve tickets and problem reports related to specific technologies and hardware/software components, including COTS/GOTS products.
- Recommend and integrate new technologies and processes to optimize IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate system installations, monitor equipment functionality, and create system administration build documents.
- Identify operational and security system requirements and collaborate with engineers and other staff to develop solutions.
- Manage installation, maintenance, and support of complex technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance for resolving complex IT challenges.
- Conduct analyses, prepare reports, and recommend system improvements.
- Interface with multiple levels of the organization to address system engineering issues.
- Develop security procedures for design reviews, operational monitoring, and incident response.
- Originate and deliver technical briefs to government and contractor personnel at all levels.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as an IT Engineer on projects of similar complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience as outlined above).
- Certifications Required: DoD 8570 Compliance – Security+ CE.
- Experience managing and performing integration operations across multiple classified system domains.
- Proficiency in system troubleshooting, technology integration, and system performance tuning.
Specialized Experience (Required Capabilities):
- Experience with Enterprise IT systems, end-user devices, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, Systems Center, and storage solutions.
- Integration with security technologies such as PKI.
- Experience supporting SIGINT cross-domain data flows, voice and video software, and thin client infrastructures.
- Development and review of system architecture and future enhancements.
- Leadership in medium to large IT projects.
- Technical documentation creation, including build docs and training programs.
- Support for system security, monitoring, and compliance.
