Are you a results-driven fundraising leader ready to make an impact at one of the nation’s top public universities? Michigan State University is seeking a Senior Director of Regional Development for Michigan to join our dynamic University Advancement team. This Michigan-based hybrid role will lead major gift efforts in the Southeast Michigan and Detroit areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to:

• Lead and mentor a team of regional major gift officers in Michigan, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

• Manage a personal portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects, driving transformative gifts of $100,000+ to support MSU’s mission.

• Build and amplify strategic networks of alumni and volunteers to support the university’s ambitious campaign goals.

• Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and staff to align donor interests with MSU’s priorities.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of progressive major gift experience. Advanced degrees and certifications preferred.

• Proven success in securing six- and seven-figure gifts.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
