The Group Account Director (GAD) supports the agency by exhibiting the core values; Dedication, Responsibility, Integrity, Vision and Excellence. The GAD is an autonomous leader who manages and directs their group of client business within the agency. They are committed to their clients' success while also guarding the interest of the agency and lead by example, going above and beyond client expectations to set an example for their team and the agency. As a strategic thinker with outstanding organizational, communications, presentation, and analytical skills, they also effectively communicate the results from current client efforts to positively present the agency, constantly solidifying the client-agency partnership. Exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of all media channels, marketing performance metrics, and the ever-evolving advertising industry are essential for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and have a deep understanding of clients' businesses, objectives, and drive business results.
• Work with VP and account teams to define success for each account and individual projects, focusing on results and ensuring that client marketing programs are constantly fueled with the insights required to maximize effectiveness and drive positive ROIs.
• Lead and manage your account team while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment to ensure that all account team members are meeting or exceeding client expectations.
• Responsible for the oversight and direction of their account teams regarding financial performance of client businesses. This includes review and oversight of contract development/management, budget planning and management, SOW management, budget and fiscal reconciliation of all projects, overall account profitability targets, and revenue forecasting.
• Responsible for overall account performance and growth, overseeing multiple account teams and working with other agency disciplines to ensure mutual client and agency success.
• Builds and maintains positive client relationships across multiple levels of client-side management, including senior executives within the client's organization.
• Provide strategic direction, ensure high-quality execution, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Provide strategic guidance to the account team in preparing, implementing, and delivering client presentations and recommendations.
• Collaborates closely with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver excellent client service and foster a culture that emphasizes consistently high-quality performance and delivery.
• Act as a business partner to clients, taking a leadership role in helping them solve complex business and marketing issues
• Lead the development of consumer insights, and analysis of clients' business to inform the development of effective marketing strategies and execution of plans that align with clients' business objectives and drive revenue growth for the agency.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, media, and web to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets clients' business objectives.
• Oversee the creation and delivery of all client-facing materials, including proposals, presentations, and reports.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work by managing and directing internal teams, including creative, social, media, and production.
• Identify opportunities to expand the agency's service offerings to existing clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Manage and track account budgets, including forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and developments to ensure that the agency is providing innovative solutions to clients.
• The GAD sets the direction for their clients' success and creates the conditions for their teams to succeed.
• Mentor and develop account team members, providing guidance and support to meet personal growth goals in their roles.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in account management at an advertising agency, with at least 3+ years as an Account Director or 12+ years in a senior leadership client facing role.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that drive revenue growth.
• Experience managing a team of account managers and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with industry tools and technology, that solve client business challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis.
• A deep understanding of how to optimize all channels to meet a client's business needs, and proactively identify growth opportunities for clients
• A skilled negotiator who works with clients and internal agency leaders to reach fair and equitable solutions
