System1 is an Industry-leading omnichannel digital marketing platform, powered by Machine Learning and AI, that monetizes internet traffic by putting the right ads in front of the right people at the right time. In order to continue expanding to new channels and acquisition opportunities, we are looking for a Strategic Growth Director to develop and execute on our goals.

As a Strategic Growth Director on the System1 team, your experience in full-funnel marketing, search monetization, analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management, revenue focused, and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. You will be in the thick of the action as you work side-by-side with a team of professionals to build the System1 Media Buying Marketing Strategy. And you will help create change.

As a trusted partner to key stakeholders, including C-level executives, you will be charged with building a best-in-class marketing strategy at System1. As a strategist you will be at the forefront of shaping our media buying strategy.

Your primary focus will be on developing innovative approaches that capitalize on our tools and automation capabilities. Drawing upon your expertise in affiliate marketing, growth marketing, and core media buying skills, you will drive our initiatives forward, ensuring maximum ROI and sustainable growth.

The Role You Will Have:
    • You will be at the forefront of shaping our media buying strategy. Your primary focus will be on developing innovative approaches that capitalize on our tools and automation capabilities. Drawing upon your expertise in affiliate marketing, growth marketing, and core media buying skills, you will drive our initiatives forward, ensuring maximum ROI and sustainable growth.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive media buying strategy that leverages our tools and automation solutions.
    • Lead high level initiatives alongside a team of talented professionals, providing strategic guidance and mentorship to drive success.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align media buying efforts with overall business objectives.
    • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth, leveraging affiliate marketing channels and other strategic partnerships.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into our media buying strategy as appropriate.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external), including media partners and affiliate networks.

What You Will Bring:
    • Extensive experience with direct response and performance marketing, with a demonstrated ability to manage and optimize large-scale media buying campaigns
    • 3+ years of experience in a strategy or leadership role
    • Demonstrated management capacity, including project leadership experience.
    • Experience with hiring and meeting KPIs is preferred
    • Experience working with or within product teams to create roadmaps and workflows is a plus
    • Certifications in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Meta preferred
    • Proven working experience as an excellent problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills, including a high attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
    • Strong working knowledge of key process and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, RAMP platform)
    • Proven ability to synthesize data across channels to make informed decisions and inform stakeholders
    • Demonstrated ability to gain buy-in cross-functionally to achieve business priorities and initiatives
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL or JavaScript would be a plus

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

System1's headquarters is located in Marina del Rey, CA with additional offices in Bellevue, WA and Guelph, ON, Canada. Employees near office locations are returning to the office. Location-specific policies and available accommodations will be discussed during the interview process.
