Client is seeking qualified and passionate Linux/Unix/Apache developers to join our fast-paced, high performing delivery team. The development team works closely with the product and business teams to ensure the needs of a newly acquired utility are met.
Eagerness to learn and understand technologies out of your comfort zone is required. Required skills:
5+ years of Linux/Unix and Apache experience, including hands-on application development work and use of command-line scripts (KSH, Bash, Perl, Powershell)
Experience as a Linux/Unix developer on a cross-functional agile team
Experience programming and supporting C/C++ in a Linux/Unix environment
Apache configuration and troubleshooting of application server configuration & infrastructure
Web services, 3rd party APIs, tools like Postman, SoapUI, Fiddler, Wireshark
Oracle database experience
General:
Able to make progress in a fast-paced environment with little oversight
Strong verbal/written communication & facilitation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to understand complex architectures and be comfortable working with multiple teams
Ability to conduct performance analysis, capacity management and troubleshoot large scale distributed systems
Enthusiasm toward technology, passionate continual learner
Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
Preferred Skills:
COBOL experience
Advanced knowledge of SQL tuning, indexing & query costs
Maintaining PL/SQL packages as well as SQL Loader, SQL Plus, and SQL Developer
