POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews patient medical history at every visit. Examines diagnoses and treats oral disease including prescribing medication as needed. Performs oral treatments including root canals, extractions, and designs and fixes prosthetics, appliances, bridges, dentures, and space maintainers. Treat teeth malformations, gum injuries, and other oral abnormalities.
Uses dental instruments safely. Operate x-ray and diagnostic equipment effectively Charts and reports to the patient all pathologic conditions Develops a written treatment plan and explains all options to the patient.
Charts and signs all treatment provided. Refers patients to appropriate specialists when needed. Educate patients on preventive dental and oral health care. Applies sealants to teeth Follows standard dentistry procedures Stay up to date on dental techniques. Ensure that work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
