Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated line producer to join our New York-based show team.
You will be responsible for producing live TV, preparing for shows, cultivating relationships, monitoring the news and taking the initiative on covering breaking news, all under deadline pressure.
You must be able to embrace challenges, make split-second decisions, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are an effective communicator across a global newsroom.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:- Be responsible for the output of one of our live morning programs
- Have solid editorial judgment
- Should demonstrate skills in TV news production including planning, writing, copy-editing, creating graphics and videos and handling the pressure of breaking news
- Produce a rundown that reflects Bloomberg's editorial priorities and utilizes our global resources
- Write scripts, commission graphics and produce other visual elements to support story-telling
- Confidently output live shows from the control room
- Take direction from the senior and executive producers and execute tasks with minimal supervision
- Work closely with talent
- Coordinate with director on shows's technical needs
YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least five years work experience; at least three years experience in live TV working in a control room.
- Knowledge and interest in business and financial markets news
- Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure
- Flexibility with hours
