Description The Digital Modernization group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Manager to Support the FAA out of our Oklahoma City, OK office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Customs and Border Protection group plan, direct, and coordinate team activities to manage and implement projects from initiation to final operational stage.
Primary Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on project activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support the project team, ensuring alignment with client requirements and operational plans. Collaborate with matrixed staff to assemble the appropriate blend of resources.
- Economic Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and reviewing project economics, including costs, budgets, and resource allocation. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Client Interaction: Undertake status review meetings with project team members and clients. Ensure continuous communication regarding project status, deliverables, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Support the creation of project management documentation, provide regular status updates, and ensure adherence to contractual requirements. Deliver project reports on success criteria, metrics, and deployment activities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive measures are taken to address potential issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes. Serve as a liaison between FS Divisions and Subject Matter Experts.
- Work Plan Management: Prepare and maintain a work plan to assess resource adequacy and update it annually for FAA approval.
- Project Request Review: Review inbound document project requests and provide estimates for overall project duration using established criteria.
- Documentation Support: Assist in creating project management documentation based on pre-existing templates.
- Status Updates: Support scheduled project status updates and reviews with the Government customer.
- Production Coordination: Coordinate with the FS Directive Management Officer / Contracting Officer's Representative (DMO/COR) to establish production deadlines and reporting for each assigned document.
- Timely Delivery: Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Budgetary Reporting: Provide support for meeting budgetary objectives and suggest improvements based on financial analysis.
- Risk Identification: Support the identification and mitigation of project risks.
- Continuous Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders regarding project status, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Project Reporting: Provide project reports on success criteria, metrics, and test and deployment management activities.
- Status Reporting: Deliver regular status reports on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, quality, risks, and issues.
- Liaison Support: Serve as a project liaison between FS Divisions and Subject Matter Experts.
- Issue Resolution: Monitor, track, and resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proven experience leading project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smart Sheets, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous FAA Academy experience.

Pay Range: Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
