Description The Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a Project Manager in the National Military Command Center located at the Pentagon Washington DC.
The AFNCR IT Services Program at the National Military Command Center (NMCC). The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas are IT Operations and Maintenance Plans, Projects, and Engineering. The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) EAM dissemination and secure voice conferencing, strategic over watch, current operations, and NC2 missions by developing and executing technical solutions for difficult and complex command and control projects and programs.
- Coordinate with external NMCC NC2 stakeholders / enablers to ensure JCS missions are operational, secure, reliable, and meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external NMCC NC2 stakeholders to identify and execute corrective actions on difficult and complex concerns and shortfalls of systems, capabilities or functions within the National Military Communications System (NMCS).
- Work with government requirement officers to ensure projects are validated prior to initiation in BMC Remedy.
- Proficiency using MS Project and BMC Remedy to apply PMBOK knowledge areas and process groups.
- Initiate and plan the implementation of an average of 50 NC2 IT related projects per month.
- Monitor and control the project management process for an average of 100 NC2 IT related projects.
- Process purchase requirements through corporate acquisition to ensure compliance with federal acquisition and contracting regulations are met and the government NMCC leadership and contracting officer representative have the most up to date information to ensure budget allowances are kept.
- Provide project management for approximately 90+ difficult and complex, new and transitioning systems, functions and capabilities from Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) to Risk Management Framework (RMF) for the NMCC cyber security environment.
- Provide monthly overview, weekly and daily updates to senior government and military personnel for each assigned project/program utilized by the intelligence and operational community in executing the CJCS Mission Essential Functions.
- Manage thirteen project managers, two configuration management, and one quality assurance specialist supporting the critical no-fail missions within the NMCC.
- Work with government customers and internal stakeholder to develop standard processes to improve efficiency across the program.
- Coordinates with NMCC PgM to ensure budget risks and constraints related to EAC and time charging are accurate for invoicing.
Basic Qualification:
- Must possess a current TS/SCI DoD clearance.
- Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
- PMP certification within 6 months
- Project Management and or Project Coordination and or Management of Operations experience in a DOD/Military Environment.
- Five years demonstrated broad management and leadership knowledge experience supporting mission essential systems including, but not limited to, DIRECT, ITW-AA, BCS-F, SNIPNET.
- Experience managing a team within an IT enterprise environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Project and Remedy.

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
