Vancouver office. The role of
Water Resources Engineer comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Work with the latest versions of technology
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis including flood mapping, water balance analysis, and hydraulic modelling
- Incorporate climate change resiliency in hydrological and hydraulic analysis
- Lead less experienced staff through the methodologies of design solutions
- Engage with clients, colleagues, and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions
- Build client rapport as projects progress from feasibility through to mine closure
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other documentation related to water resources engineering
What we require:We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to support you as you build on it. We do however require:
- A degree in civil engineering: a master's degree is considered an asset
- 5+ years' civil design experience related to surface water controls (preferably for mining or related industries), with a track record of continued development
- You must be eligible to register as professional engineer in Canada
- Experience in channel design, flood mapping, water conveyance, and drainage
- A general understanding of mining-related regulations and industry best practices
- Passion for collaborating with clients and fostering long-term relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, high degree of organization, and work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment
- Enhanced communication skills, which should include experience in writing technical reports and general project correspondence
- Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements

The salary for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
