Job Description: Director of Growth Consumer Marketing

The big picture: - Our basic task is simple: turn casual readers into habituated ones who pay and stay. You'll play an integral part in this.
- We're expanding the scope of our subscription growth efforts, which means you'll be building from the ground-up more than optimizing.
- Above all, our work is mission-driven. It must reflect the integrity of our journalism and be oriented toward the needs of our readers
Where this role sits: - You'll report to our Vice President of Consumer Marketing
- You'll be part of our cross-functional Growth team, working with colleagues from Product, Business Intelligence, the Newsroom, and beyond
- You'll be the DRI for two of the team's objectives: converting more of our existing readers, and reducing subscriber churn
Your remit: - Lead the Growth team to deliver on acquisition and retention OKRs
- Implement standards and best practices for subscriber acquisition and retention across marketing and product surfaces, like e-mail and the paywall
- Oversee efforts to reduce active churn by driving product adoption and mitigating risk at key lifecycle moments
- Create a culture of hypothesis testing and rigorous measurement

Experience - 6+ years of related experience in marketing, or product management
- You understand product and marketing development lifecycles
- You have direct people management experience
Total Compensation:$100,000 - $150,000
