Job Description
  • Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of IT department staff
  • Plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments as well as trains, motivates and evaluates assigned staff
  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas
  • Analyzes, develops, implements, and maintains IT solutions and system support for the property in conjunction with corporate support staff
  • Creates and maintains IT projects for the property by managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and ensuring successful execution
  • Defines and maintains IT budget and capital expenditures including, but not limited to, expenditures, capital requests, labor and variance reporting in accordance with department, property and enterprise IT objectives
  • Works closely with executives and managers to make recommendations regarding policies, administration, and procedures
  • Develops inventory needs of all IT-related equipment, such as computer tapes, disks, and other storage media, and recommends purchase decisions to other department leaders
  • Diagnoses system problems effectively in order to maximize system utilization for operations
  • Works closely with executives and managers to make recommendations regarding policies, administration, and procedures
  • Maintains working relationships with outside vendors and system support personnel
  • Ensures confidentiality of property data and security while maintaining compliance with regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Strong attention to detail and prompt follow-up
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously according to schedules and budgets
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely and efficient manner
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of IT Systems, web applications, and system hardware

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
    • Five to ten years of progressive experience in information technology or related field
    • Experience in a gaming or hospitality setting preferred
    • Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
