Job Description:
Overview: As a Value Stream Leader, you will be a key driver in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficiency and maximizing value for our customers. This leadership role involves overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities: Value Stream Management:
- Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to achieve operational excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration to address challenges and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream and regularly monitor and report on performance metrics.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes to identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and individual growth.
- Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the value stream.
Resource Optimization:
- Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for capacity expansion and improvements in manufacturing technology.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, with a focus on value stream management.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
