We're looking for a Data Solutions Development Manager to join our ever evolving Data Engineering team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

We are looking for a Development Manager of Data Solutions to be a key leader of the Data Organization at WorldPay. The successful candidate will own the design and deployment of data ingestion pipelines both real time and batch and will work closely with other internal and external stakeholders to plan, develop, implement, govern, and optimize our data ingestion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical background and strong leadership skills to drive our data capability forward and background in managing a team of data engineers.

What you will own:
  • Develop and execute on a robust data ingestion strategy for the company's cloud-based data platform.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align data platform initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Implement best practices for data analysis, data ingestion.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, and DevOps engineers providing feedback and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on career growth and development.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all data ingestion related initiatives.


What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of large-scale data solutions using AWS and Snowflake.
  • Previous leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, and Glue
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), data ingestion tools (real time & batch)


Preferred background:
  • Experience in the Payments, Banking or Financial Services industry.

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
