The Application Engineer (Solution Architect II) will be a member of the systems integration organization, which will support efforts associated with planning, engineering, and implementation activities related to the integration of enterprise applications and technologies. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of application integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.
A successful candidate must be able to:
- Be a subject matter expert and assist in the design, planning, and implementation of enterprise application integration projects.
- Be a subject matter expert on the administration of NetSuite.
- Identify and resolve enterprise application technical issues.
- Identify issues related to operational workflows and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Contribute technical knowledge in the development of standards, processes, and documents to support and facilitate business initiatives.
- Research and make recommendations on new technology and services that would improve business processes and operational control.
- Continually develop technical skills, which align with company goals.
- Implement audit, logging, and monitoring technical and workflow designs..
- Manage data hygiene for all administrative application systems.
- Assess existing workflow and procedures to identify and remedy sources of downstream data inconsistencies.
- All other duties assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
- 2+ years direct experience in designing and implementation of enterprise applications.
- Experience in the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.
- Experience with core software applications, including HubSpot,NetSuite and Asana
- Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
- Experience with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Able to conduct research into application integration issues and products.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with the NetSuite ERP manufacturing workflow process is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Four-year college diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, and/or 4 years equivalent work experience.
