Job Description
Squint/Opera New York is looking for an enthusiastic multidisciplinary Visual Designer to join our studio. The role requires a wide range of design skills and interests across interactive, brand, print, 3D, 2D, and animation design. The Visual Designer will closely collaborate with the Creative Director and Producers, developing media for exhibition projects in the cultural and brand sectors.

Main responsibilities
  • Supporting the creation of concepts and mockups for film, motion, and interactive media under the direction of the Creative Director
  • Creating presentation materials for existing projects and new business
  • Content and design research as needed under the direction of the Creative Director and Producer
  • Collaboration with internal team consisting of software developers, producers, and illustrators across London and New York
  • File management and organization
  • Asset wrangling and management
  • Attends meetings, workshops, and shoots as needed

Experience
  • 2-3 years experience working professionally in the industry
  • Preferable to have a degree in design, motion or animation
  • A portfolio/reel that showcases your talent in design and animation
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - shortcuts and efficient workflow a must
  • Experience with Google Suite

[Desirable]
  • Experience with Figma
  • Experience with Cinema 4d
  • Basic understanding of Unity /digital pipeline

Salary Pay Range

$75,000-$90,000 USD

Hours

This is a full-time position.

Our working hours are 9:30am - 6:00pm [Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch]

We currently have a hybrid approach to working with a mixture of in-house and remote days.
