Description
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing aggressive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. This role involves supervising a dynamic three-person marketing team and collaborating with other departments to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Strategy Development:**
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and traditional advertising.
- Collaborate with Executive and Senior Management to create the best marketing content strategies to drive revenue and brand awareness throughout the country.
2. **Team Management:**
- Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive individual and team performance.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions.
3. **Brand Management:**
- Develop and maintain the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all marketing materials and communication channels.
- Ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with the company's brand identity and values.
- Create, or facilitate the creation of company promotional materials, including swag, ads, social media content, and in-store digital displays.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure brand consistency across all social media channels by completing audits regularly.
4. **Campaign Execution:**
- Oversee the execution of all marketing campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with the design and content teams to create compelling marketing materials.
- Own the end-to-end content creation and Social Media Management process for yourself and other members of the content team to deliver engaging, high-quality, visually compelling, SEO-optimized content.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to optimize performance and improve ROI.
5. **Market Research and Analysis:**
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target customer segments, understand market trends, and assess competitive landscape.
- Use data and analytics tools to measure the success of marketing initiatives and inform future strategies.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, making data-driven decisions and adjustments to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
6. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work closely with the sales, product development, and customer service teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
- Communicate marketing plans and results to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Represent the marketing team in cross-departmental meetings and initiatives.
7. **Innovation and Creativity:**
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing, and propose innovative ideas to drive marketing innovation within the company.
- Experiment with new ways to facilitate and deepen audience engagement.
8. **Budget Management:**
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track and report on marketing expenditures, adjusting strategies as needed to stay within budget.
9. **Online Sales Pipeline:**
- Develop and manage the online sales pipeline to drive e-commerce growth.
- Optimize the online shopping experience, including website usability, product descriptions, and checkout processes.
- Implement and track online sales promotions and special offers to increase conversion rates and average order values.
- Analyze online sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
10. **Social Media Growth:**
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the company's social media presence and engage with followers.
- Create and curate high-quality content that resonates with the target audience and encourages social sharing.
- Utilize social media advertising to reach new audiences and drive traffic to the company's website.
- Manage Social Media platforms in terms of content curation and engagement.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
11. **Process Development and Reporting:**
- Develop repeatable processes for content development, distribution, and repurposing.
- Plan, calendar, and execute content strategy including industry association partners, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Work with operations to develop reporting infrastructure that allows consistent tracking against the content strategy.
- Develop and publish website content updates as needed, with an emphasis on copywriting and/or visual design.
12. **External and Internal Relationships:**
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing initiatives and enhance brand presence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
13. **Other Duties:**
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the marketing department and company objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
