Job Description

Covenant HealthCare, a premier healthcare provider serving Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Region, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Urologist to join our employed hospital urology group. With a well-established patient base, a high volume of referrals, and state-of-the-art facilities, Covenant HealthCare offers an exceptional practice environment for urologists looking to build or grow their practice in a high-demand market.

Position Highlights:

  • Practice Setting: Join a robust urology clinic, equipped with two procedure rooms, 20 exam rooms, and comprehensive support from a dedicated team of 3 surgery schedulers, 6 front desk staff, 8 MAs, and 2 RNs.
  • In-Office Procedures: Our clinic supports a range of procedures, including cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate biopsies, BCG bladder instillations, and Botox injections.
  • Market Demand: Expect high patient volumes with approximately 200 referrals daily from regional networks such as VA, MyMichigan, and CMG Family Medicine.
  • Team Support: Benefit from a collaborative, experienced team of 5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) dedicated to outpatient and inpatient support.

Operating Room & Equipment:

  • Advanced Facilities: Operate at our primary Harrison Campus, equipped with high-watt lasers, fixed system rooms, and urology-focused instrumentation. For flexibility, additional support is available at the Mackinaw and Cooper Campuses.
  • Efficient Scheduling Model: Group block time offers flexibility and optimized scheduling for our physicians, ensuring consistent access to OR time and efficient workflow. Turnover is swift, with support from a dedicated OR team.

Schedule & Call Coverage:

  • Flexible Call Schedule: Weekly rotations allow for adaptability, especially for out-of-town providers, with a goal to achieve a balanced one-week-per-month rotation.
  • Dedicated Inpatient Support: Full-time APPs provide inpatient coverage Monday through Friday, ensuring seamless care continuity and provider support.

Unique Selling Points:

  • Strong Referral Flow: A large regional network and established reputation position Covenant as the preferred urology provider in the Tri-City area.
  • Opportunities for Subspecialization: Demand for oncology and minimally invasive procedures creates ample opportunities for providers to develop focused areas of interest.
  • Collaborative Culture & Growth Potential: With ongoing high demand, our team is ready to expand, adding at least two more urologists to ensure comprehensive regional care.
  • Efficient, Group-Oriented Scheduling Model: Group block time minimizes scheduling barriers, enhancing access to OR time.
  • No Agency Staff: Full employment of nursing and technical staff ensures stable, well-integrated support.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Urologist with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
  • A proactive approach to collaboration and desire to contribute to our practice growth.
