Summary:
As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for promoting and selling services in an assigned territory, which results in meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. Grow and develop customer base by utilizing a systematic process to identify new prospects and to routinely contact and follow up with customers. Conduct repetitive contact calls to build relationships and educate the customer on why our organization is the best cleaning and restoration company. Provide and communicate clear and accurate pretesting, scoping of services, and job estimates. Monitor and follow-up on all assigned jobs ensuring that customer needs are met.
Responsibilities:
• Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
• Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
• Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
• Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
• Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
Other responsibilities:
• Established Sales Goals: Review each week's progress towards achieving the assigned monthly sales goal. Discuss weekly with Management sales goal progress and activities.
• New Prospects: Develop and expand prospect list by systematically identifying and qualifying new prospects using a variety of tools such as referrals, associations, directories, Internet resources, seminars, trade shows and networking.
• Customer Contact Information: Develop and maintain basic customer profile information for each customer and qualified prospect. As part of the route sales process each week, complete or update the contact record for each customer.
• Relationship Development - Customer Contact and Follow-up: on a weekly basis you will be responsible for reviewing customer contact information to ensure appropriate customer follow-up and to review the call objective.
• Market Services: During customer interactions you are responsible for identifying issues, concerns, and/or specific needs; present feature, advantage, benefits to match customer needs. Routinely communicate to customers (email, brochures) and/or promotion of Continuing Education courses, the services offered by our organization.
Skills:
• Exception listening skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent and proven knowledge within restoration, construction, property management, etc.
• Ability to pull general analytical territory reports associated with applicable reporting tools and job function
• Ability to work cooperatively
• Strong understanding of disaster solutions
• Highly motivated, solution oriented and a positive "can-do" attitude
• Willingness to Travel
• Compelling sales personality, and a desire to develop new sales prospects and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field is a plus
• Experience of a minimum of 2 years in sales, marketing or related field
• Ability to manage complex projects and multitask.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
