JOB SUMMARY
Full-time position supporting the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) institutional training resource management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Operates/updates the Institutional Training Resource Model (ITRM).
• Assists TRADOC budget personnel in analyzing the transition from POM to Budget and reconciliation of funded amounts versus critical requirements for programs covered by ITRM.
• Modifies the ITRM model originally created at HQDA to reflect internal TRADOC budget policies and procedures.
• Provides a variety of ITRM reports and briefing materials to budget analysts at HQ TRADOC.
• Performs detailed analysis of TRADOC budget execution in support of ITRM costing methodology reviews, updates, and revisions.
• Assists in annual preparation of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
• Evaluates training courses of action with Army leader regarding decisions for impacts on training.
• Prepares pre-decisional "what-if" data as needed.
• Supports program cost estimates at both TRADOC HQ and TRADOC Schools.
• Prepares and communicates information in support of Army decisions in areas involving training resources.
• Performs POM Analysis and prepares relating briefing materials
• Meets regularly with TRADOC analysts in order to stay up to date all issues relating to Army School house operating costs.
• Cross-Trains and overlaps with team members working other ITRM data inputs to ensure staff continuity.
• Ensures data input that is prepared for input in the ITRM model is formatted correctly and at least 99% error free
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with Army Resource Management
• Secret Clearance is required
• Experience in military training, resource management, and/or academic performance which demonstrates the aptitude to grasp and digest complex concept related to these disciplines.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Specific experience in and around Army training activities, school house training operations, and/or military finance and accounting.
• Strong computer literacy in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, briefing, and database management tools.
• Ability to apply mathematical principles to people and resources
• Ability to apply those mathematical relationships among data elements used for populating and maintaining required database files.
