The RoleApploi wants to add a key member to our dynamic, growing team of accounting professionals. This role would support the accounting team by driving the collections efforts through daily customer interactions, and building and fostering strong relationships. The accounting team plays a significant role in decision-making and business growth by providing clear and concise information. Who You Are- Minimum 5 years of total experience in analytics, collections, or credit, a minimum of 2 years as a supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in collections management are a plus.
- Proven experience in a collections role, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective collection strategies
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience transforming raw data into a polished format, providing recommendations, and communicating complex technical findings.
- Excellent people development and management of soft skills
- Proficiency in Netsuite, Salesforce & Excel, a plus
What You'll Do- Report directly to the Controller as a vital Accounting & Finance team member.
- Develop and implement comprehensive collection strategies to minimize outstanding debts and improve cash flow.
- Evaluate current collection processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and analyze reporting, including AR aging reports, collection forecasts, billing trends, and cash flow projections.
- Perform monthly analysis to understand collections risk trends and anomalies, identify loss drivers, and proactively create process improvements to close the gap.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and update account information as necessary.
- Coordinate with senior management to address any critical areas of concern related to debt, performance, and relationships.
- Develop junior team members into stronger performers while growing the collections team.
- Review collectors' quality of work and outcomes by monitoring notes, tickets, and monthly wins.
- Support team to follow the dunning process, including suspension and 3rd Party Collection
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payment and resolution of billing issues.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to address and resolve customer concerns.
