  • PCU RN, 4th Floor East Wing
  • Level of care: PCU
  • Number of beds: 55
  • Patient population: Adult, peds
  • RN Ratio (Days): 1:4
  • RN Ratio (Nights): 1:4
  • Shifts: 12 hour
  • Weekend requirements: minimum of every 3rd weekend
  • Charge nurse: yes
  • Common Patient Diagnosis: CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, weakness
  • Common Drips/Medications: PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, insulin
  • Other needed competencies: Telemetry
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Specialty Equipment Available: Mechanical lifts in every other room
  • Float: Yes, ideally to MS areas. Float will depend on highest need.
  • Qualities for hires: The unit is a tight knit group and are great with helping each other out.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630
  • Self schedule, cyclic scheduling
  • Nursing Assistant support: Yes

  • Unit: 4th Floor East Wing
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue, CNA Ceil Blue
  • Additional unit support staff: Educator, Care Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians, PT, OT
