This individual provides direct oncology patient care through the Beebe Medical Group department, with specific focus on the care of palliative care patients, in the hospital and the community setting.
The Nurse Practitioner in this role will practice according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and accepted standards of care. Functions within approved scope and credentials as approved by Beebe Healthcare credentialing committee. Follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other support staff.
This position works four, 10-hour shifts per week, Mon-Fri, 7a-5p. No call; no rounding.
Assessments. Diagnostics. Documentation. Coordination of palliative care and/or end-of-life services. Collaboration with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient plan of care. Risk Assessment. Communication. Coaching/Counseling family and caregivers. Leadership. Quality and Timeliness of Work.
2-4 year's experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Palliative/Oncology Care preferred
