Certification Details BLS Stroke Certification (if applicable as the facility is a Comprehensive Stroke and Certified Chest Pain Center) Job Details Hospital: Skyline Medical Center Location: Nashville, TN Address: 3441 Dickerson Road Unit Name: 7th, Trauma Med/Surg Building: Main Cost Center: 613 General Information Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 34 Patient Ratios: 6:1 Unit staffing description: Tech support on day shift and night shift. Unit secretary 7a-7p. Type of equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCD’s, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: 3 12 hours shifts/week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4 week schedule Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float; go by rotation when there are multiple C/L staff scheduled Patient Experience requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients/family members. Bedside shift report, ability to make personal connections with patients and include them/family members in their plan of care. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center Requested Skill Set: Med/Surg Experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IV’s, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, & chest tubes.
