As a Palliative Care Physician, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in both the inpatient setting and our specialized palliative care follow-up clinic. Your role will be central to guiding patients through their illness journey and ensuring continuity of care. Additionally, you will play an essential role in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and NP/PA students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of palliative care services, including initial consultations, individualized care plan development, and follow-up visits.
  • Collaborate with referring providers to enhance patient care and advance the care team.
  • Recommend appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers, adhering to policies and regulations.
  • Facilitate patient access to necessary medical services and resources.
  • Teach and mentor residents, APCs, and students, fostering their growth through hands-on education.

Practice Support:
Mercy Health offers robust practice support, including a dedicated team of CMA/LPNs, administrative and management staff, APPs, clinic nurses, and office personnel within the palliative care clinic. This collaborative environment ensures that you have the resources and support necessary to provide outstanding care.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in Palliative Care or related specialty.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
