What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"
  • Technical Accounting:
    • Provide expertise on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, fair value measurement, lease accounting, business combinations, and consolidation.
    • Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and their impact on the company's financial reporting.
    • Review a limited number of account reconciliations in non-routine areas as well as areas involving a higher degree of judgment and/or technical expertise
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
    • Support the implementation and execution of key controls and processes and update key control narratives, as needed
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
    • Coordinate with global regions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
    • Collaborate with the finance teams to provide accounting insights on business segment performance.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in accounting practices and processes.
  • Strategic Support:
    • Advise senior management on the accounting and reporting implications of strategic initiatives.
    • Support the due diligence process for new investments by assessing financial and accounting risks.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Need

  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive, including a desire and ability to dive into the details.
  • Experience developing and implementing processes, policies, and procedures for an entrepreneurial company.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, segregation of duties and internal controls.
  • This role should be comfortable with ambiguity and can "connect the dots" using their experience and expertise to navigate the organization to identify subject matter experts and find solutions to challenges.
  • Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and technical yet flexible, self-motivated, and big-picture minded.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • Minimum +10 years' experience, public accounting experience preferred years total experience with at least 3+ years' experience at a public accounting firm required
