Job Summary:Manages, monitors, and directs the service processes to ensure shop efficiencies that promote quality customer satisfaction. Takes customer requests seriously, respects the customer's property, organizes workflow to meet and exceed customer expectations, and arranges work to accomplish departmental objectives by completing repair orders timely and accurately. Plans, staffs, and evaluates departmental priorities to ensure that technicians work together cohesively and are accountable for assigned tasks. Maintains schedule to aid in timely completion of work installations and service work. Promotes a safe work environment and complies with regulatory requirements and reporting processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Leads with company core-values.
- Delivers exceptional service by focusing on quality and customer service standards; analyze and resolve customer service issues; identify trends; recommend systems and process improvements.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of customer equipment to prioritize issues and to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates resources to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Assigns parts and labor costs correctly for customer invoicing and warranty processes.
- Demonstrates ability to build and lead a well-trained team.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Develops opportunities for personal growth.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and engaged work environment.
- Develops staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and instructing employees; developing, coordinating, and administering policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient, correct, and productive manner.
- Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operational information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action, defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies.
- Associates degree preferred; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 5-10 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a busy shop environment.
- Previous technician experience a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and managers either written or verbally.
- Experience in performance management, project management, and coaching management.
- Fosters teamwork, handles pressure, and provides specific feedback, listens to constructive input and manages conflict.
- Proven organization and time management skills, detail orientated knowledge of equipment, and professional demeanor.
- Intermediate computer and data entry skill for Window's based software programs. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook and Word helpful.
- Active listening skills, oral/written comprehension, and commitment to ensure quality service.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Position is expected to work on-site, Monday - Friday, for normal business hours without taking unscheduled and unauthorized absences as determined by the company.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience required, Associates Degree preferred
Pay: $80,000 to $90,000 annually depending on experience, plus BONUS
Schedule: Monday - Friday, On-site in San Diego, CA

Supplemental Pay Types:Physical Requirements:- Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders.
- Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
- Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
