Account Director (Client Management) [Hybrid]Golin Toronto is looking for a strong, senior communications professional in search of a client management/experience role to support on our top-tier client roster. You're a Swiss-army knife in terms of skill set and can work autonomously to counsel clients and anticipate their needs. You have experience - and interest - in managing the client's day-to-day business with an eye on the details, as well as oversee, mentor and manage the account teams that you work on. You can drive the business and communications strategy while also playing a critical lead role in the execution of programs and campaigns. What You'll Do:- Manage several important account files and act as main senior point of contact for clients and the account team
- Keep the team on track through timely and financially responsible deliverables, while also supporting and developing account teams
- Make decisions that push our client's business forward by applying creative and strategic thinking to plans, programs and campaigns
- Provide day to day counsel and account management that helps solve business problems and achieve KPIs
- Track business performance on all of the accounts you manage and have the ability to pivot where required to drive results
- Identify all opportunities to propel brands and businesses forward through competitive and industry insights
- Apply your exceptional writing skills to the drafting of a variety of materials from client briefs to full-year plans
- Editing and review of client facing materials
- Lead client and new business presentations through strong verbal communication and delivery
- Manage program / campaign scoping, budgeting, planning and execution
- Play an active role on new business development and the growth of the agency overall
Qualifications - 10 years of experience in a public relations / communications agency role (with senior management experience)
- Ability to take ownership over multiple client files and lead with excellence
- Bachelor's degree, PR certificate
- Experience working with consumer and/ or corporate clients
- Experience managing national/regional media relations campaigns as well as influencer programs
- Experience working on a CPG or portfolio account an asset
- Skilled at providing client counsel and finding solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven creative and strategic thinker
- Proficient at building project scopes and budgets, managing and tracking budgets
- Experience in a large agency or organization
- Experience managing junior employees (associate, coordinator, intern)
- Confident speaker/ presenter and persuasive in the room
- Ability to provide clients with media prep for interviews and events
- Forward-thinking, global mindset

- Issues management exposure, experience an asset
- Experience managing a portfolio account is considered an asset
- You are adept at learning and developing new skills and tools to keep pace with the agency's rapid innovation
- Experience leading accounts, including budgetary management and strategic planning
- Familiarity with analytical and measurement tools
- Expert MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Understanding of digital and social platforms (social media universe, such as Tik Tok Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
- Highly adept at writing various types of creative content
Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
Salary range:
$94,000 - $130,000
