Inside Sales Manager

Position title: Inside Sales Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Sales

Department: Sales

Location: Fort Collins, CO

Travel: Occasional, 10%

Primary Responsibilities - In this area, you will be responsible for growing the company's revenues in the US market by:
  • Provide overall management and oversight of the inside sales team; mentor and develop the team to sell consultatively, grow business at existing accounts and expand the business into new accounts
  • Supervise, evaluate and adapt the company's sales process as the business expands
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies along with the National Sales Manager to drive achievement of corporate sales objectives
  • Play a lead role in defining the CRM system, ensure team is properly trained and manage the team to utilize the tool as expected
  • Responsible for sales operations, inclusive of CRM, sales processes, forecasting, budgeting, metrics and reporting, and order processing
  • Drive corporate sales and marketing initiatives including new product launches and vertical market blitz campaigns
  • Attend tradeshows to provide sales support, generate leads, evaluate sales activities, strategies and strengths of the competition, identify new market and customer opportunities, and evaluate the success and perception of In-Situ products and solutions.
  • Manage expense budgets, compensation programs and incentive planning.
  • Establish appropriate metrics and dashboards for the sales team
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts; comparing sales results to goals and taking corrective action(s) where necessary
  • Communicate sales input for annual strategic planning process
  • Interface with Product Management Team to provide customer feedback on product performance and customer satisfaction
  • Provide input on outbound campaigns, advertising, literature and promotion materials
  • Recommend pricing programs to ensure the company remains competitive in the marketplace
  • Work with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute demand planning activities for near-term Sales and Operations Planning and short-term Sales and Operations Execution
  • Develop effective forecast models based on customer insights, industry trends and demand patterns
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Successfully communicate forecast estimations to management
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts and business strategies
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities


Position Qualifications

Education and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales/marketing roles
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably sales management
  • Experience with water quality and/or water level instrumentation
  • BA degree (an MBA is preferred), degree in environmental, geology, chemistry preferred
  • Strong team building skills and desire to contribute to strong team environment
  • Experience in successfully utilizing a professional sales process system such as Miller Heiman, Challenger Sales, Sandler, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with CRM systems

Working Environment and Physical Conditions
  • Lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, sitting.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.


TOTAL REWARDS

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data and internal comps.

Salary Range: $75,000-95,000

Variable compensation structure potential: Targeted at $30,000-40,000 at 100% of target completion.
