The RN incorporates teaching principles into practice and demonstrates competence in health promotion and disease prevention. The RN uses critical thinking and data collection systematically in the delivery of nursing care on their unit for a specified group of patients on a designated shift. The RN incorporates the appropriate assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their nursing process. The RN applies knowledge integration skills for the patient populations served within the Inpatient Care Unit.
