Job Summary:
- The Material Handler will distribute either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.
Responsibilities:
- Move materials with equipment to support production processes.
- Create kits of materials to align with upcoming build schedules.
- Remove and dispose of non-production materials such as cardboard, dunnage, scrap, trash, and pallets.
- Track material movements into and out of controlled locations
- Complete basic computer transactions to transact movement of materials
- Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures
- Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner
- Organize materials for an orderly work environment
- Moves parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations
- Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts and or move items by WAVs cart and utility vehicles to and from warehouse
- Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area
- Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
- Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements
- Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment
- Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory
- Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by receiving and transporting components to the manufacturing floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method, and sequence standards

- Current forklift certification and or able to achieve within 30 days of hire
- Previous experience with material handling equipment
- Basic computer skills and basic math
- Experience in warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred
